For the sixteenth year in a row, the Jardin des Tuileries, in partnership with its neighbour the Louvre Museum, is organising the Jardins, Jardin (Gardens, Garden) event. This hugely popular show presents numerous temporary gardens and terraces created by professional gardeners and landscape designers. It all takes place less than a ten minute walk from your Hotel du Continent!

 

Jardins, Jardin; green-fingered enchantment

Presented as a rendezvous for professionals and a public showcase designed to appeal to gardening buffs and lovers of landscape design, Jardin, Jardins offers an opportunity to reflect on the theme of the garden in a variety of ways and get some inspiration for your own. Come along and see amazing pop-up gardens such as the flower fields of the Maison Chanel, meet and chat with the gardeners and other professionals, participate in gardening workshops, admire photo exhibitions and make some purchases from the exhibitors.

 

This year’s theme calls for more urban gardens

A green urban landscape is a happy one. This is the basic theme of the 16th edition of Jardin, Jardins, which advocates giving nature the chance to thrive in the urban environment. This can be accomplished in many ways, including vegetable plots, educational gardens, care gardens in hospitals, and gardens shared by the community, etc. Techniques, practices, cooperation and aesthetics are some of the issues of interest that will be presented to amateurs and professionals alike.
