Paris Design Week on the IN side

At the heart of Paris Design Week is the Maison & Objet trade fair. This event, which brings together design professionals, creatives, interior designers, buyers and journalists at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre, sets the tone for new international trends. It also honours the Designer of the Year. French designer Laura Gonzalez, famed for her ‘reworked classical’ style, is this year’s recipient. The 2019 show will develop themes such as Made in France and workspaces research. In short, it’s an essential international event for all industry insiders.

 

Paris Design Week on the OFF side

However, design should also be accessible to the general public. This is how Paris Design Week was born. Today, schools and students, studios and workshops, institutions and museums host happenings and exhibitions for the occasion. All this energy is expressed in a multitude of ways including themed walks and celebratory evenings. More than 200 venues will open to the public for the occasion. Check out LE OFF, a springboard exhibition focussing on the most promising rising talents in the design world.
